Description

Part of a series I did Spring 2014 where I chose a 'totem' animal for family members and tried to create a narrative around that. Here I've depicted me and my fiance. I'm the more timid person in our relationship and he's my protector, so he gets to be this noble red deer. Also, we've always wanted to travel to Europe, either Scotland or Ireland, since he's half Irish from his parents.

Gouache, pen, pastel.

Sorry for the shoddy photo, when I get some free time I'm going to use a legit camera, I just felt like I should show what I was working on earlier this year.
